On leaving school in 1975, I joined Rose Forgrove and qualified as a mechanical engineer, building high-speed packaging equipment and the Sea Wolf Sea to Air Missile Launchers. This gave me a solid background for my first taste of surface preparation equipment, when in 1981 I joined Tighe Autoblast - a manufacturer and contractor of totally-enclosed shotblasting equipment.

one of the largest single source manufacturers and suppliers of various types of equipment worldwide, along with a Contracting Division in
I started at SPE in a position of Marketing Manager, progressing to Sales Director and eventually Group Managing Director. SPE was acquired in 2013 by Bartell Global, a Canadian manufacturer and supplier of equipment to the construction industry. I remained as Group Managing Director until being appointed Group Vice President of Bartell Global, responsible for Europe, Asia, Middle East, Africa and Oceania.
SPE have been a member of Ferfa (UK Resin Association) since 1999 and I have been a council member since 2006.
